Every day cigar shop purchase

Post by Land Rover »

I think this is an interesting poll,  gives you an idea of what the norm on the board is.  When i sit in the leather chair at Barlows, i will hear people come in and ask fr a $5.00 cigar and some that ask for a $10.00.

Another interesting poll would be 'How many do you buy whe you visit the local?'.

I always grab a couple of extras (I like supporting the shop) but I think a large number of folks who stop in buy only 1 cigar.
Always looking for 858SG, Anejo 46 and Opus PL!

Wow, 4 of us voting.  interest here really seems to be over in the TSBC.

If I go into a shop I usually buy something.  I think I've been in shops twice in the last year.

I usually only go one or twice a week at most.  I buy what I smoke about 80 - 90 percent of the time.

I pick up singles mostly but also boxes to try or just to smoke while stock is ageing.

Interesting poll.  I try to pick up a stick at least every other time I'm in.  Truth be told, there just isn't a lot on the shelves of most B&Ms that I smoke and many times I bring my own.  In fact, the manager usually asks me to hook HIM up!  I do try to leave $ there by way of refreshments, reading material & accesories though.  I'm also a pipe guy, (or at least used to be.  Haven't really done much with them in a couple of years), and I have been known to drop quite a few bucks related to pipe smoking.

I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy one of the best stocked Humidors in Colorado at my local B & M.

The owner is cool also, he stayed last night till 11 so we could finish a poker game in the back.  He was supposed to close at 8

If you ever find yourself in Wilmington NC look up Brooklynn Cigar....Steve Gimelo there is 1st class....great people in the dying breed type of place where you can buy a beer/coke...sit on nice leather sofas and watch the game while conversing with great people.

That said, when I visit the local B&M once a week at least I pick up about two sticks or so...bout 20 bucks a stop.  They are Havana Connections in Williamsburg....most of their stores are in Richmond, but they are top notch peeps.  -Ryan

I'll usually buy 1 or 2. It's usually sticks that I've heard good reviews on and want to try, or a Padron Anniversario.
