I just received some of John's Butifarras this week.  They were dark wrappers.  I generally like a large ring gauge and with the cold weather here in New Mexico, the length was just right.  If you have not tried these and you like a larger ring gauge, might I suggest you give them a try.  They are very tasty.

My dad and I just smoked one of the new Butifarras John was offering recently and they were amazing! They smoked a little longer than I like for the winter especially when smoked fresh but I had to have one. I've smoked many fresh Johnny-os and loved them all but I am still waiting on the ones from this past summer to try them aged. They smell so damn good it's hard to believe that they may be sick...but I'll be patient...

I just recieved 2 bundles of JohnnyO's. 1 of the corona extras and 1 of the shorts, and I must say that these are some of the finest looking and tasting cigars I have ever had. I smoked a short ROTT and all I can say is THANK YOU JOHNNYO. I can not wait until they get some age on them. I already placed another order so get them while you can before I buy them ALL!!.....Joe

I have not had the pleasure of trying these yet but I have heard nothing but great things about them.  It's finally about time to pull the trigger.

Does anyone have any recommendations on which sampler to start with as my introduction to these or custom rolls for that matter?  Any singles or anything in particular you would suggest adding on to the order would be helpful as well.

It looks like he has the two following samplers listed for sale.  I'm leaning towards sampler #1.

Sampler #1-$115

8 Shorts (5 X 43)
8 Corona Extra (6 X 44)
4 Laguito No 2
3 Mag47
2 Short Torp (6 X 48)

Sampler #2-$110

5 Butifarra
5 Robusto
5 Churchill
5 Torp
5 Mag50

Thanks,
Jeff

I have been smoking these like crazy for the past couple months.  I picked up bundles of the Lanceros, flying pigs, CG's, and another larger format I can't remember the name of.  They are all Colorado wrappers and they are exceptional.  Medium body and full flavor.  John even sent me a few of the darker shorts to try and they are ver good as well.  Most of them are a bit under filled and wet but after a little rest they smoke amazingly.  Can't get enough of them.
