My bad for calling out a thief bro... I'll pad my post count here about every ISOM and opus I have from now on... I guess helping soldiers is frowned upon here... I'll make sure and not ask anyone for smokes on my next Christmas drive.

That is uncalled for and immature I myself with my home board have sent over 17,500 cigars plus an equal amount of treats and personal care items to the Sandbox and have several family members serving now and you playing that card just put you in the zero respect list.

I also happen to know many of the brothers here also do much for our soldiers.

This is also one piss poor battle to ruin what rep you may have, Like others have said it's not that we don't care it's that you come across as demanding and when that does not work you try guilt and finally immature guilt when you have no clue who you are speaking to or what we do. You are family guy in the making.

Well, I guess since my name is getting thrown around, might as well jump in head first : )  Got quite a few emails from people saying that I should find out whats being said. Steve contacted me on FB after I had posted my link, when confronted with the fact that the format, content, pictures and overall perception of the cigar was different - he has not yet responded to me.

I have been running my site right a little over 3 1/2 years and this is the very first time I have ever been accused of anything like this. I have been commended time and time again for new, exciting and never before seen reviews, news and contests. Why - after all that time AND after writing a full review ( double the size of his, so I couldn't have copied what he didn't create ) would I hock 2 sentences from someone else? Also - note that the text that is published on my site is not the text that the OP posted.

Also - the crap about the military and all the things he did/does - that is very good, nothing wrong with commending him for getting cigars but as much as I hate to say it - there are a lot more important things in the world than cigars. I was tipped off to the CCL on facebook after talking with a buddy about my tours in Iraq (2003-2007 ) with the Marine Corps and my interest in cigars. Instead of organizing cigar give aways and herfs, I was in the middle of doing my job while over seas, but have been active since I have returned home.

Here is my last message to Steve after he told me his intentions were to have my ISP pull down my site ( can't do it, legally nothing was breached ), cause my sponsors to pull their advertising ( good try, close business friends with my 2 advertisers ) or to have people stop going to my site. Still have not heard back from him. . .

"All I am saying - I am sorry you feel that I ripped off your work, but I did not. I am sorry you feel the need to slander and defame my name but the fact of the matter, even if no one came to my site, I would continue to do this for the same reason I started my site - because I like it.

To end this message - another quote from a rant of mine.

"Never once have I tried to use this side project, a cigar review website as a way to explain to others my existence as something more than just a nut stain that almost missed the target, the Marine Corps already corrected my self esteem."

David

Smelvis, your reading comprehension seems to be on par with your written communication skills.

TheCigarNut, if you did not feel that you had ripped-off the wording from Steve's review, why then did you just change yours?

[/quote]  Again, I apologize if I offended anyone...this is a subject I take personally.  FYI, I've helped raise thousands for Operation Interdependance for years, not just cigars.  With the connections I made their, I was able to get the proper support to make my drives bigger, get PSA's, radio support, etc...  So when people attack me on the subject, yeah a little sarcasm comes through...and sorry if my "rep" here is damaged...it's not the most inviting and social site on the web lol.  You're right....I have no clue who you guys are, and you me... We don't know anything about anyone on these boards...so when someone does something shady, it's nice to know; hence, I posted this thread.
