LOL, the delay is to allow the transfer of all the information that could keep the system tied up without allowing new posts anyway, so it is better to be completely off line until then, hopefully by noon today.

As we approach our 11th anniversary, the Fuente and Newman families are excited to upgrade and expand both CigarFamily.com and the Cigar Lounge Online Forum.

Here are some of the new features available:

* The search engine includes all 3 million messages from the end of 1998 to today.

* A more stable and reliable forum environment.

* No more bug such as mistranslated quote signs and an ineffective spell checker.

* Smoke signals can now be threaded.

* A Retailers Room open and visible only to cigar retailers allowing them to discuss the cigar business.

* A Special Events Room for Secret Santa-type events.
All information, including old threads and messages, member information, Smoke Signals, and Traders Comments have successfully transferred. The only information that we could not bring over was personal signatures, so please re-create those and if you need your old sig image, please let us know and we’ll try to help.

The new design of the Cigar Lounge is a big change from the past. While a fresh look is nice, we will see how well it is received and may modify it in January in response to comments.
