Dualhumis contacted me through pm to state he was not the person I made reference to above.  As I am now 50, its quite possible that my memory has failed me in this instance.  My apologies to you Sir.

If anyone can remember who made the statement, or can remember who saved the statement in their signature, please LMK so I don't mistake the author going forward.

Ernie, I think it was Deeznuts...and it was a direct cut and paste from the chatbox that someone currently has in their profile signature.

So, honestly I hope to not spend anymore time in here on this. Whether or not I can avoid the temptation to waste time defending myself to you all or trying to teach you the facts on how supply and demand and free-market works, is another thing.  Anyways, I hope you all have a great day and enjoy your cigar, I know I will since I wont be complaining and steaming over what some other guy online is doing with his own property.

Oh, and by the way. I appreciate all the support I am getting from the other guys, you know the ones who dont spend all their time in the BZ, rather have better things to do. The emails and PMs show there really are plenty of people on here who understand and agree with what I am saying.  And these guys have been around here much longer then myself or most of the whiners. Pretty cool.

I personally don't give a fuck what you want to ask for something that belongs to you, however if some people want to rib you about it don't get all self righteous and sensitive about it and act like you are so above some individuals here and going to "Teach" someone about something....whatever go fuck yourself! If you don't like the BZ-stay the fuck out of here, just like you mentioned if you don't like someone's price move on.
Thanks Wade for making it all possible here!

Better yet... in the shout box this am...

"No, you've got it wrong, I would fuck over some person I don't know online that I don't care about"

Geesh, who would deal with a scumbag like this ??
Id like to apologize for the cheese dick comment. If someone wants to pay out their ass and get bent over for a cigar then thats their business.

hopefully making that 40-50-60-70 (whatever it may be) dollar profit was worth it.

What is the argument, that you are not a gouger or that you are not an douche? I don't know you personally, so I can't make that decision on a personal level. I'm just asking. However, I will say that there is no one here to blame but yourself.

Exhibit A
You priced your cigars at a price deemed ridiculous enough that people were inclined to talk about it. Whether it was actually a ridiculous price is of a subjective matter. Note that precedent BZ threads all point to the opinion that if a topic is on the BZ, it's probably what most members were thinking.

Exhibit B
You replied on the FS thread (who cares where he posts it anyway?) trying to defend either the notion that you were a) not a gouger; or b) not a douche.

Exhibit C
You then came here and wrote a reply defending your stance that the price was fair because a deal was made. Specifically this part:
Anyways, I think you can see my perspective in my posts, that I don't believe I am "fucking over someone" when a adult of their own will agrees to pay with their own money.
I would conclude that you a) appear to be a gouger; and b) appear to be a huge douche. Why? Let' look at point A. Just because a deal is made doesn't mean it was an equitable transaction for both parties, or the market. If I sold a box of tangerines for $30 to a friend, or a long time neighbor (much like your long time veteran brother and OLH member), that I bought at a supermarket for $5, I would know that it is a price incentive move, and so would the buyer. This, if done in a remote enough market (much like the niche market that is the cigar industry), sets a bubble in that commodity, where other traders may use that transaction as a precedent for a price increase in the market. Is it morally wrong? That's subjective. But it is 100% price incentivized, and you even said it yourself,
Yes this is marked up. Yes that's what it takes to pry these out of my hands.
Point B. Given that appearance of douchebaggery is completely subjective, I find your prose extremely douchey. You overpriced cigars. Big deal. It happens all the time. Deal with it. There's no need to call people out, whether warranted or unwarranted, and appear to look like a gigantic asshole. However, the icing on the cake was when you stated the quote above, still not admitting to gouging and rationalizing fairness on your part. That lack of ownership and refusal of fault is what - to me - makes you appear to be a total douche.

There is nothing wrong with pricing cigars at what you feel. I do it all the time. I'm ok with it. Sometimes it' market, sometimes it's personal. But if someone calls you out, you should own it. I think this is what people are generally trying to communicate.
