Rules of posting an ISO

Post by BigPars »

Since I am still relatively new here, I was wondering what are the rules behind posting an offering price in an ISO?  Is this is something that is allowed, forbidden, or frowned upon?  I am just asking for some clarification because I couldn't find anything in the rules section that addresses this matter.

You can't reply to other peoples threads in TSBC, just PM the person....if you are posting an ISO post the item and work out the pricing details via PM

Matt, I don't think there are any real rules regarding ISO posts... but I have always felt that if you post an ISO, you should expect to pay the current market value.  Unfortunately here, everyone's interpretation of current market value can be quite different.  I think its ok to post an offering price too, as long as its a reasonable offering.

Thanks guys, usually when I post an ISO I just work out the pricing via PM, but in my time here I have seen a few posts with offering prices, so I didn't know which was the preferred way to go (or at least would get some responses).

The rules here seem fairly simple. My take is that, although many of us have our little pet peeves about how things "should" be done, as long the individual (whether retailer or not) follows the simple rules, deals fairly & works out any differences or misunderstandings to the satisfaction of the involved parties, they will likely be embraced (or at least tolerated) by the community here. If this is your plan, welcome!

Reply to all PM offers, via PM, so those who replied to your ISO aren't left wondering.  A little consideration and a kind word will get you where you want to be.
