Posting E-mail addresses and bots

Post by WadeFillingame »

I've done what I can to protect your privacy here.  The registration system is set to the highest complexity visual recognition standard to try to thwart bots, and you can hide your Email in your profile and posts.

However, so far the boards are still open for public viewing, (I am open to discuss changing that) so posting E-mail addys on the board can get you harvested by spam bots.  I've never been too worried about it, but on most of the other boards I frequent they are very careful about not posting e-mails in public.

It is up to you guys, whether or not you post them.  If it's board related stuff I've been using PMs  (SSs at CF)

I get enough spams for lengthening pills as it is.
Keep replying back to them that I don't really need any,  but the mail always bounces.

I don't understand any of this so I will enjoy my ignorance.  ::)
