Quick Flip...

Post by tksamtec »

I have never been much of a fan of guys who do these quick flips, just like this...

http://www.onlinehumidor.com/forum/index.php?topic=13817.0

Both of these boxes were just on sale at a very popular vendor...

Du Maires were $70 shipped
Du Deputes were $86 shipped

Same box codes I just rec'd and the sale ended this week...the big difference, I didn't buy mine to flip them for close to double what I paid.

I agree Todd
I am opinionated that way, I don't sell much and I certainly don't buy to sell so I agree or concur or however you say it.

hmmmm....i have received the same box code of cigars from orders a year apart. i think to assume that the only way this happened was from a quick flip is rather imbecilic. in other words WGAF? looks like a fair price to me.

Not sure if you are referencing me or what, but the post I am referring to presented a well balanced, non-emotional opinion/theory.  It didn't prove anything or rectify anything, but it was certainly a side that we don't see very often in the BZ and deserved to be read.

I'm not sure what happened to it.  It was from a user I am unfamiliar with, but he did have a star, FWIW.

Same here, I don't like to rock the boat, just try to see the other side usually.

I really don't understand the point of this thread...the condeming of the quick flip. How does anyone really know if this was a quick flip? Maybe while I was eating doritos and watching the nba playoffs this fellow was spending his time looking for great deals from vendors. Maybe he's unemployed....or just trying to make ends meet. Maybe he needs some gas money since his hours at work were cutback....so he came up with a creative way to few bucks...not a killing...just a little extra coin. Maybe his child needs medicine....I don't know....either do you. Either way...as others have said over and over...If you don't like it don't...buy it...however you have no good reason to BASH this guys sale or question his motives. If you are really bothered by this sale send him a PM and see what he has to say in private.

As a buyer of cuban cigars I pay $25 for a fiver with my eyes closed....just to give these cigars a whirl. When kids around the block go to sell lemonade...do we bash them for making a little money off the neighbors and community? They had to squeeze lemons, buy the cups...and sit in the sun whille I ate my doritos.

Frankly the kids provided a product and service. This guy is just doing the same.
