Shipping Issues

Post by Hugomarink »

Is it OK to discuss CC shipping issues in this forum? If not, I apologize and will not bring it up further. If so, I have a question or two I'd like to throw out there. I'll wait to hear from a few of you before posting more. Thanks.

I think the topic has been discussed in the past and its ok, as long as people don't mention any sources...

It looks like three packages I was expecting from down under aren't going to make it through. Just wondering if any others have had similar situations occurring of late. I've never had any problems prior to this.

I heard from a valuable source that there were some seizures and customs issues in February and March... so your problems only confirm what I have heard so far.

I had one package from Switzerland seized at the end of February - replacement package went through OK in March. I was not the only one.

I have some packages from Europe enroute now.  Based on the usual delivery times, it's almost guaranteed that they got snagged.

I know of a few others that are also having some similar issues.

Thanks for the responses. I had heard there might be a rash of seizures of late but I wanted to be sure. I had a total of five packages sent in February and March. The first two made it through just fine, but the last three are now overdue so I'm assuming the worst. Fortunately my vendor will replace or refund, but the loss of all these great cigars is so depressing.  :tears:

If the packages are shown still being in the isc ny stage after 5 days, is that usually a tell tale sign that the worst has happened?

...and don't forget...you will be getting 3 beautiful letters, all very cigar room frame worthy, from US Customs and Border Protection.  I think one more offense and your name will be on the FBI's most wanted list.   :o
