cuban cigar question

This may be a dumb question but what are some ways to tell if a cuban cigar is real or not by just looking at a single stick.

It's easier to tell if one is definitively fake than it is to tell if it is definitively real.

The quality of the printing on the band and the quality of the rolling (triple cap, etc) lend some insight. I keep a few fakes on hand in case an interested party wants to see them side by side.

I really think the best indicator is taste. I've seen some decent looking fakes, and while they might pass a light visual inspection, they never pass the taste test.

Use the pics in this thread as an example of what NOT to buy...  I have seen good fakes and bad fakes, these are bad.

Hey my buddies told me that cuban cigars are illegal because they get you high so I wouldn't smoke them if I were you. But I've heard the best way is to look for boxes with glass lids and make sure each cigar is wrapped it plastic. But if it says made in cuba on it its probably real and I wouldn't worry.
