I wont hate on a guy for trying to hustle a little. Why do so many people concern themselves with others prices? If you dont like it, dont buy it. Dont hate because someone invested a little money with the intent of flipping boxes. Hes doing the work to buy, list, and ship them. If the buyer is happy and obviously willing to pay then it shouldnt concern you.

20-25% is a bit on the outside of the norm, but I routinely see 10-15% here.  They sell.

Most of those buyers probably don't feel they are getting ripped off.  Once in a while maybe, but that guy won't do it again.  Rather, these are guys who are simply willing to pay a 10% "service fee" to not have to worry about the custom's stuff.  I can totally see why guys would do that, even moreso if money is not the main obstacle.

Yes but try finding them for that today or in the near future for that matter. Supply and demand is what makes capitalism great. He took the chance of a knock on the door from Big Brother.

Yeah, I hear ya Mike but personally I don't make money on cigars I sell. I'm not in this for profit, regardless if I'm the one who took the chance. That's just me. People can sell their cigars for whatever they want, it's their right. Rarely do I ever say anything, but these were obviously bought from the same vendor in the last 2 weeks and to immediately flip them for 25% more just rubbed me the wrong way a little. Just my opinion, take it for what it is.

Who knows, maybe he bought them second hand from someone else for that price but I doubt it.

Hmm, interesting. I paid $289, $215 and $400 respectively. Don't forget foreign transaction fees and shipping to the buyer.

20% eh?

I know what you are saying. Saw these yesterday at a reputable vendor for $289. Also saw them for $400. Bought five boxes at the $219 vendor because I just love these cigars and they are very tough to find. Had I not just bought these I would have jumped on these for $289 since I have been looking for these for six months.

Some guy's are scared shit less to buy illegal Cubans, I can't remember how many people begged me to order for them. Granted they were newbies and they only asked once as my reply was what you would expect. I think these are the people paying the profiteers their money. IMO    :tears:

I understand both sides of this argument.......But imo fwiw.......the buyer may be just as guilty.  Personally I see nothing wrong with the free enterprising end of it.  If someone wants to use their money and their time and take ALL the risks associated with importing ILLEGAL contraband in the US then why shouldn't they be able to charge whatever they feel the market will bear?  We get enough Big Brother from our fine and upstanding government.  Maybe the whiners should run for local office and help stamp out this illicit activity.
Myself personally...I pick and choose wisely on what prices I'll pay and don't need any help with my decisions.  I'm certainly not going to pay 30-40-50% more than what I could get them for at the same places they are buying.  But I would pay 20-25% mark up on a 5 or 10 pack to try something out I haven't yet or for something that has a little age on them.  I do personally know some people that can not and will not take the chance of illegal importation because of jobs and/or careers that they don't want to jeopardize and they feel 25-50% over common known retail is as fair for them as it gets.
They love cigars and isn't that all that really matters in the end?

This gave me a chuckle: "They love cigars and isn't that all that really matters in the end?"

That's like saying taxes are going up...'It's for the children!'
