The cohiba limitada bands seem to have less pop and the gold is muted.
even had a TripleL mention
Now i'm going to be suspicious of all cohibas ... Just 'cause it's cuban doesn't mean it's a cohiba.
There's a couple of places I've ordered from Ch. if you guys would like to share experiences pls msg me
Thanks!

It's actually a little embarrassing for a regular cigar smoker with some cred to admit he thought he was smoking real ELs that have never even existed... I am not really sure how that piece of info slipped through the cracks, and if I am paying primo for ELs, I would do the research beforehand to make sure they were legit. Nevertheless, a good read and interesting article.

Re: Cohiba Fakes
I was serious about posting an online album for High quality fakes like the one in this article ... willing to pay/trade for them! If they had the date right ... who knows... would have most likely been a good review.
I rather lose a few sticks/bucks rather pay premium for what I'm going to call Genuine CC knockoffs or GCCK!!!
You have to wonder how many GCCK's have been smoked in the past decade.

Re: Cohiba Fakes
Cuba is full of tricks. Most LCDH's have an in-house roller and sell singles from 25 count boxes. As the singles boxes get emptied out, the in-house roller will put together a batch so that the refilled box can be sold to an unsuspecting tourist. This sale will be off the books, with no receipt. The cigars are Cuban, but not the advertised brand. John

Re: Cohiba Fakes
John, In my limited experience(2 different LCDH locations)- the custom cigars are kept separate from factory brand cigars. Of course, the management always prefers to sell the customs(probably a much greater profit margin), and will market the hell out of them if given an opportunity. But I've never seen them purposely categorize custom rolled for factory. But that's just 2 stores.

Re: Cohiba Fakes
Of course they are separate. However, given the opportunity the empty legitimate boxes will be refilled, re-banded, resealed. Next time you are in a LCDH ask for empty boxes, see what kind response you'll get. They'll hit the "NO" button every time. John

Re: Cohiba Fakes
John, I have no clue to how they operate. I would assume they would not let empty legit boxes go anywhere so someone could put fakes in them. Just a thought
