Well I look at it this way w gouging. B&M's do it all the time. Rare and aged cigars sell at a premium and way above MSRP. We buy them from them if we ant it and can afford it. If I got it, want it, I get it. Same here as why most cigars sell here.

Yea, but they don't own this store!  They have no investment here like they would if they owned their business.  They just know they have people coming to this site and take full advantage of it.  When someone like yourself supports them, they keep the cycle going.  When the demand changes, so do the prices.

What is the deal with all the over priced behikes? I just bought four boxes and split them with other members on a different board alot cheaper then they are here. And its like the same guys just keep buying more to sell for profit.

Agreed. With little effort you can find the BHK52 for under $325 including shipping from a wonderful source. And I am sure many of you know how to do better. Up the street from me? $750.

:tears:

(not that I would buy them there)
Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.

Also, when pricing a stick like this, you gotta take into account the source.  Grey market BHKs come with the Habanos SA tracking number defaced, missing, or bastardized. Boxes from real authentic Habanos SA dealers have the labels intact, bands perfectly lined up, and ring gauges more uniform for the entire box, and those sticks will cost a minimum of $400 from a real non-grey market source for BHK52s (go online and look for any Habanos SA dealer seller them for less than 400, I doubt you will find anyone). Also, it's a well known fact or feeling that the Habanos SA sourced sticks typically look better and sometimes alot better therefore demanding the higher market value.

You are mistaken on both points in the paragraph above. Gray markey cigars are exactly the same cigars that are sold at an LCDH. They have merely been purchased by one vendor or distributer from a distributer in another area of the world. HSA frowns on this practice, so tracking is defeated. Hence a gray market box from Switzerland might come from the same mastercase that a box from a Belgian LCDH comes from. And re: the pricing....you are high on the spring '10 prices  by about 25% and I buy from an "LCDH" that has the BHK52's priced at $265USD after conversion...tracking hologram intact :) FWIW the 54s and 56s are $332 and $366 respectively.

I was 100% satisfied with my BHK's which were at the $300 level but I was concerned about them at first. The outer cardboard box was not the same size as the one I got from you, Mike. Turns out year to year they might vary by 1/8-1/4" (the folded die line... the inner box is identical).

The cigars themselves smoked beautifully on my birthday. I still think they are an expensive treat for the cigar. That is why it pains me when they are inflated.

Sorry guys, I deleted my post.  I wasn't trying to start bad rumors and I thought the source was reliable... I didn't link the thread but I read most of that in a Cigar Aficionado thread from a few months back.
