Not my deal, and not sure why I care...but since I too asked about the jar initially I guess that makes me invested..  If only for the  factor, but also cuz I hate seeing good people eff'd over by dickheads.

If he doesn't produce pics of the jar, that alone would be worthy of the scumbag list IMO. Not sure it'd come to that, as he'd likely break it and then post pics....but nonetheless, he should be forced to break it if it's not already broken. Or be a grown man and send the in tact jar back to Mike. Now THAT would be sumthin'.

Woulda been nice to see the PM's/emails from him to Mike & vice versa posted here as Mike had initially said he would.  At this point that may be the only way to determine whether this rises to the level of Scumbag List or not.  Not sure if there's enough there to ascertain it or not, but I don't see where anything else would.

Heh! That's what I thought.....This really smells like someone thought the customer would quietly take it up the ass and was taken by surprise to find out he didn't.

Bill, fwiw I got all the emails prior to the resolution here.  Since Mike is effectively out of pocket for the replacement jar I think it makes sense to see proof of the broken jar.

Hey Phil, I'm sorry if I came across as questioning your position, the resolution of this mess, or the process by which the decision is made to either place someone on or keep someone off of the SL.  It just occurred to me as I read the thread that someone capable of not only charging $500 for an empty jar, but posting it in an ambiguously worded F/S thread, would certainly have no problem breaking a jar if that's what they thought it would take to appear as though they are on the up and up.  Having said that 'm certain you're far more savy in such kmatters than am I and I gladly defer to your... well... insight!

How about those game changing details, Starbuck?  I really want to hear your side- why you (initially, until you were outed in this thread)refused to refund $500 dollars for a $75 dollar jar.  C'mon.  Tell us your side of the story.  I'm really eager to hear your justifications on the matter.  You said there were details on the matter that were only privy to you- and possibly Mike.  So?  Let's hear it.

I thought Starbuck sent Mike back the replacement jar AND the broken jar? At least from Mikes story...

So why in the hell does it matter if the jar was authentic....Apparently Starbuck refunded the money without having the jar in hand because he sent it back to Mike???....

This does not make any sense.....Did starbuck make the refund hoping Mike would in turn send him the jar back again????
