Re: Smoking a TL Montecristo GR
Just had a Limor version Monte GR. This was almost certainly a VERY young Monte 2. Will do a final update with cross comparison and more actual details when I have the legit GR next week.

They are young Monte 2s and the TrinidD 40th are young robusto extras. I found out from Rolf that this guy bought hundreds of boxes of Monte2s and Trini REs and merely added a band. Rolf had no idea but when i mentioned the guy's name to him he told me how much he had recently purchased. Almost perfect scam. Good Cuban cigars inserted for limited edition cigars that nobody had smoked so nobody knew there should be a different taste..

Re: Smoking a TL Montecristo GR
Did anyone ever say what cigars were used for TLs 66 Coh EL's? (sorry if I missed it here). I still think I got a farm rolled very fresh cigar in that scam.

Yep, that's what I'd assumed he was doing, based on the taste of the cigars I had.
However, some of the cigars he sent out were definitely not the real deal with an extra band. The "diplomatic" Cohiba Lancero I smoked was revoltingly awful, and tasted nothing like a CoLa, young or old.
I think the real deal with the extra band was to lure people in, then the bands would go on crapsticks.
