It occurs to me that a friend, a true friend, would understand if I told them that attaching my handle, and thereby by reputaion, to their prices makes me uncomfortable for whatever reason so I can not in good concience do it.  Clearly those who post F/S threads for friends are either not concerned with this or do not feel that their friend's pricing is out of line.

Agreed, if I had a friend say $500 a box for BHK 54's (easily a $10 a stick markup, if not $15-$20) I wouldn't post it for them. Simple as that.

Makes me think people abuse and lie about this "for a friend" crap.

Again I don't care I won't buy it, but grow a pair and admit you just want to buy BHK's at low prices and gouge people for a profit.

I see this happen all too much. BHK's have been around for what barely a year and people are selling TONS of intact boxes. All of them are saying they "bought too much". It's bullshit, no one wants to be labeled a profiteer and scumbag but they do the same things as people put on that list.

It's always 2 5'ers or intact boxes....I have never personally have seen a 7/10 box or partial boxes. Makes me think people are abusing the price fluctuations to profit from this.

Why is it that when people want to sell something at what those 'in the know' would consider 'rather high (!)' prices, it's always "for a friend"?

Can't take the heat personally I guess...   :-[

Michael....I understand your point, and agree, but I don't believe it to be the case in this instance. This seller (if your post was prompted by a current for sale post), quite regularly attempts to sell HTF cigars at prices that only a person totally unaware of either the going rate or value of the cigars offered...under his own handle. They evidently don't sell as it's rinse and repeat the next month, then the next month, etc. I've always assumed that he figures WTH, maybe a sucker will see the ad this time, or, "if I post these prices for long enough maybe some dummy will think that's the going rate". So, no, he is not embarrassed to post absurdly high prices in his own name :)

Yeah if Bonvivant sold all of those that quickly at those prices, there must be a really rich retard on the loose at OLH!
