I see you have been years longer than me. I defer to your expertise...

Actually...I liked what you wrote the first time. !

What I wrote are some things that may be helpful...and it helps to find out who's who.

From what Wade has already stated, I can infer that these are not likely to happen. That's cool.
At the same time it's always good to have some discussion so folks can see that there are alternatives.

The flip side of such pricing: What if someone is selling 'below' MSRP or at a really really good low price...what comments are made then?

The folks that I deal with regularly sell/buy at the levels I mentioned...heck, maybe most at even less than MSRP.
These folks pass it on. Here, you get that a little.

I don't care what price is put on a product, there will always be someone who thinks it's not kosher.  Yea, it's certainly not cool to gouge but there are inherent risks involved for those who are selling.  You just can't forget that it is an illegal business and the risks are sincerely high stakes.  Today, only a letter....tomorrow, possibly a knock on the door?  It really wouldn't take much to put the fear of God in us all.  Last year for example......I know a few people that had the shit scared out of them right after it hit the news.  Because of the relaxed atmosphere we all enjoy today, some of us may forget about the real reality of our hobby.

Anyway..........The high prices should take of themselves for the most part.  I know I've over spent for a few items listed but I wanted the 5'rs to try out and paid the price.
I do believe EVERYONE selling anything at TSBC should have a spinning coin of some type.  Is it really too much to ask a person to flip Wade 20 or 40 bucks for the venue he provides?

So, there's no community here...just b/s/t.

Seems there were folks who wanted this to be more than just a sales depot.

Guess not.

I think that a Sales Depot is exactly what this place is and should probably not pretend to be otherwise. Most of us are on other Boards we have developed relationships, attended HERFS, etc.

No putting lipstick on this pig, Although Gary I have seen you try in your backyard.  ;D

I agree with the pic part.  I've done a couple sales here, pics were always provided.  I almost always ask for pics if they are not provided.  If CCs, then box date and box code should be provided.

Also, its nice to see these cigars too.  Some people sell some pretty special stuff, its fun to see some of the higher end items.

As for price.  I am over it.  Sell it for whatever the fuck you want.  You gouge, don't cry if you get hammered here in the BattleZone.  You buy a single-store or limited release and then inside a week try to sell it here for double the price, you are a douche and only care about making money off real cigar lovers.

Pretty scary when the voice of reason comes from a furry animal with a flat tail.  Seriously guys, we don't need cigar babysitters, either buy or don't and feel free to bitch about it here.  However, don't take any of this stuff too serious its just cigars.  If you are here for more than the TSBC/BZ there are a few other rooms where that community mindset exists.  Its not the most active or stimulating discussions all the time, but still worth reading and replying.  If you want it to be more community oriented then just do your part and participate.  You can't force others to comply to your wishes.
