At my cigar shop yesterday, a Habanos dealer, I wanted to include Punch cigars in my shopping list. They said no, Punch Punch and other Cuban faves were not available, only Punch NC's... and just those little freaky ones that look like bowling pins.

Re: Something going on with Punch and Habanos?
I heard on a recent episode of Dogwatch that the Cuban Punch is not available in Canada due to some trademark issues . From what I understand the parent company of the NC Punch has ownership of the Punch name for the entire content of North America. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge can shed more light on this.

The distributor for NC punch, House of Horvath, is the one I believe that holds the TM to punch cigars in Canada. That said things could get interesting soon as they are no longer the distributor for General Cigars in Canada. There are some Punch cigars coming into Canada through the grey market distributor, Casa Cubana. While Havana House's cigars do seem to me to be better maintained as my supplier of preferance you can find Cuban Punch cigars in Canada if you look a little as some one in your region is sure to be buying off of Casa.

Good to hear and thanks, gibbleguts.
It was the First Nations store that did not have any cc Punch. My regular dealer had limited, but he may be showing from his held stock.
I will keep looking.
