Graycliff Crystal Taco 4.5" by about a 42 ring
Nice gold band. Cut was sharp and easy. Pre-light draw was a bit loose with bits of peppery taste.
This cigar was consistant from first light up to nub. Flavors were spicy peper and bit of toasted tobacco. the taste never changed. I had some trouble keeping it lit while driving home but that was the only real problem. overall a good $5-6 dollar cigar. ash was a dark gray with white and black areas.
Would rate this one a 8.0 due to the flavor being consistant but not really that complex, and the cost.

Diamond Crown #7 Pyramid Maduro
Oh did I have high hopes for this cigar. When I pulled it out of the humidor it had small glistening siverl specs of PLUME on it.
Then I made the cut, and found a huge stem that was bent over the area I had cut blocking almost 1/3 of the air flow. I was able to remove some of the stem and still smoke the cigar but had a burn issue on that side of the cigar. :(
The flavors were all sweet and wonderful. lots of floral and nutty tastes with bits of earth and toasted tobacco. If not for that dang stem causing a very bad burn on one side and limiting air flow this would have been a great cigar. even with the the stem I rate this on a 8.45.

Re: Cigar Reviews
Freshie R&J Cedro #1
Slightly firm which caused bit of a tight draw upon pre-light attempt. Draw remained tight until about 1/4 of the way through when it did finally begin to open up.
Lots of cedar, (go figure huh?) and spice in this one with tons of black pepper & hints of espresso and dark chocolate developing in the final 1/3 or so. On the powerful/full flavored side for an R&J IMHO. Nubbed this baby, (Thanks Arlo!)
Overall: 7.5
This cigar showed some real potential and should be a real winner in a few years if allowed to nap that long.

The R&J Cedros are on my list of ones I want to try. After reading your review Knuck42 I may just have to bite the bullet and order some.

Re: Cigar Reviews
This was my first experience with this vitola Atomross13, and I don't think it will be my last. The price point on these makes them pretty attractive and worth dedicating some space to them for aging in the humi. I would try to obtain boxes with age though as these certainly would benefit from some.

Re: Cigar Reviews
last night's smoke was a Camacho Churchill with some age on it I got from CHEFCARLITOS over at CF.
Construction on this was very good, few small veins, no softo ro hard spots.
Prelight draw was good.
First few puffs were all ceader. It really had my hopes up. Then the ceader mellowed out till really just light flavors of ceader and toasted tobacco. I don't know if the Bourbon I was drinking was overpowering the taste fo the cigar, but I could bairly taste any flavors. The ash was light greay and sloid and lasted well over and inch.
I have to rate this a 2.2 on the Ross scale for lack of flavor. It was much better than the Macanudos I used ot smoke, but I expected much more. The USA flag band added to the total ponits on this one.

Re: Cigar Reviews
After several misses I decided to go with an old standby today, siglo I from 06. I have been trying to save some of these for a while just I can't. Oh well enough rampling time to write the review. :bla: :bla: :bla:
The sig 1 I grabbed has a small crack in the foot (about 1/16 of an inch), was firm all the way through. Pre-light draw was a bit tight but still let lot of air through and first taste was of cocoa..
First few puffs were all cream and cocoa. a bit of toasted tobacco took over after the first half inch and was the prodominate flavor through the rest of the cigar, with the cocoa and creamy tastes being good background flavors. I smoked this little beauty until my fingers hurt. Got a bit harsh with about 1/3 of an inch left. about 50 minutes of pure cigar pleasure
overall score on this is a 9.37 just because of the full flavors have not developed yet. I have to find some way of really hiding these from myself to let them rest for a bit.

Re: Cigar Reviews
I smoked a Fuente Double Chateau Maduro last night. It had at least 2 years on it cause that is the last time I smoked any.
It was a good, but a very mild cigar to me. Not unenjoyable but no body to speak of.
