Any dope that pays $450 here, when they are available on Federals website for $260, deserves to be gouged for not doing their homework.

BOTL means something special to me, I am sorry we are just dollar signs for others but to me it has a positive meaning.

I have met dozens of people from the boards have traveled back East and stayed at their houses and them at mine, shit I had a guy from Australia come visit and stay a week, I call them friends that are also BOTL.  Sorry to those that do not have such. So sad!

Totally agree with this.  I have met close to 100 BOTLs...most from BOTL.org, a few from a couple of other boards.  Some I have met while traveling for work or when I take a little time off, or when they have visited my home town of Chicago.

I understand that price is not debatable in the TSBC (and of course you can't even reply there now), but I still believe that you shouldn't take advantage of another fellow cigar smoker.  Who knows....you may end up meeting the person you "gouge".  If you do, I hope you feel like a heel when you realize you took advantage of a good person.  This thread, and others like it, definitely show the real person...and points out who to you shouldn't do business with.

Clint your logic shows the difference between someone who wants to be a part of a community and someone who wants to take advantage of a community.

Just out of curiosity, why is nobody yelling and swearing and name-calling at the guys who are re-selling Cohiba Behikes all-day-long at a profit?  It's been happening for a couple months now.  Is it because they're Cubans?  Seriously, I'm wondering why this is.

There is a HUGE difference between selling for profit and knowingly gouging. Profit means to make money which is okay, gouging means to extort and overcharge, which is not okay IMO.

Once again I ask, how can someone "GOUGE" for a product that is a luxury? We or anyone else for that matter do not have to buy it, it is not gas, food, clothes, medicine, or anything else we need to survive, just a bunch of cigars that we put to ash.  In the end no one has to buy any of these or other cigars we think are too much.  For a 'community', we sure love to fight about it.  This site is called, Premium Cigar Trader but people like to think it is some holy grail.  I'm sure this has been going on since the beginning of cigars and it will continue to go on forever.  If I want something bad enough and it is a price I want to pay, I'll buy it.

I can understand cigars that are still available are charging more, but no one knows what another brother had to pay or what cigars he had to trade to get said cigars.  Not sure why we can't all live and let live, it is only cigars here.  Just walk away and be cordial.

In the end, people also have a right to judge parasitic, zero value added behavior for what it is.

There is true value in making sure something is genuine. And sending it to you without hassle, taxes, duties? Don't get me started.

I SAVED $400. But even if I lived in the US and did not save that on duties, having a member here who I trusted against fraud, $25-50 - no problem.

Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.
