so you go from criticizing me for speaking for you to putting words in my mouth....lol
this entire thread has been about price and profit from the first post.
i know few people here.  i view this as a place to conduct business buying and selling as i see fit and if i make a friend or two along the way, so be it.  but thats not why im here.  this place was set up and designed from the beginning to be a place to buy and sell.  that is why its set up the way it is.  you seem to see it as something else, kinda touchy feely and brother of the leaf and shit. thats fine if thats the way you wanna see it. thats your business.  just recognize not everyone needs saving and some people are willing and able to fend for themselves.  sometimes you just cant fix stupid.

Fair enough.  Everyone has a different purpose at times.  At least you are clear on what yours is.  As you can see mine is not selling, I smoke mine.  Sometimes you just can't fix greed.

I can't tell if the intent of your post was all humor, or if you really feel they aren't the same. If the latter, I'm curious to hear more thoughts there..... as I've read rumors of both there not being enough medio tiempo leaf to go around, as well as production numbers being higher so all BHKs aren't being rolled at the El Laguito factory, but rather sent back there for stamping from other factories.

However, both of these are rumors AFAIK, and nothing i've read (which admittedly isn't everything out there) supports that those are more than just theories.

That question isn't just directed at you of course, but anyone else here that might know.

All behikes are being rolled at a factory in South Carolina by a guy named Chico.

I'll tell you this... I bought my box of them and it was a thrill. The thing I like the most about them is the box itself. It sits on my coffee table and holds my cutters, lighters and matches my Cohiba ashtray. Looks amazing.

But I can buy so many amazing cigars (based on info I have learned here and on other forums) for the money, I will not be Behiking any time soon.

Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.
My understanding is the BHK is a limited production cigar, but is still being produced currently, and for the forseeable future.
Cigar sales may be way down, but the super-premium segment seems to be doing just fine.  I can only imagine what these would cost if import taxes and tobacco taxes were applied.

Pretty amazing that they are able to come out with a cigar with this high of an MSRP, and still have room for grey market middlemen to resell them for a profit, imho.

Not to mention the cost of shipping them from SC to wherever and back again.

I've never been to SC myself, but I have a friend who works in a SC congressman's office and brings them back all the time.  He gets them straight from the factory.
