Just curious, Wade. Is there a "table" posted anywhere that defines the different labels related to number of posts or donation levels?

I would've just asked, "what does Hermosa mean?", but with a variety of responses, I would just assume that folks were paying me compliments.  :laugh:

Yes but does being a Benefactor still mean that you know that person's intentions?  :-X

Further, I must reiterate my objection to the idea that you regulate against negative comments regarding price (andby extension sellers), but continue to let posters make comment about price if those comments are "positive."  I think that the evidence has shown that it was in no small part the comments by TL's sycophants that the deals were coming from a "great guy" at a "great price" or was a "great deal." I think that a lot of unsuspecting buyers relied on these comments in making their decisions.  Some may say caveat emptor and that the buyer's duty is to check out the seller to the extent possible, and that seems reasonable at first blush.  However, whether one likes to admit it or not, there really is an "auction" aspect to the TSBC, and the opponent is often time, if only in the prospective buyer's mind.  When a rarity is up for sale at what seems to be a reasonable price, an unsuspecting buyer is not going to take the time to dig up everything about the seller if there are comments about the seller and deal right in the thread, particularly if the buyer thinks that somebody else may beat him to the deal.

I still stand by the statement that I do not believe it was his intent to break the rules here. He never contacted me for permission to run that and whether you like them or not my enforcement has been consistent. There have been a few other "best offer' type posts in the past and nobody there was suspended, it was dealt with exactly as this one was.
