isnt it just a bit weird that the comments on Yelp for Print Run almost mirror the comments for TL here?  "Richard is the best" "Richard saved my life" etc...I'm sorry but that just seems way too coincidental...

F'n A....this is classic:

Look at Esther's post from April:
"I regret going there. Richard was nice but the bottom line is that I could have saved a lot by going elsewhere!"

You CANNOT make this shit up!

Bingo, regarding the "limited run" and the variance you'd therefor see in the bands.  ie, you would not.

As for the crown, have a look here.  At the top of the page you'll see the current production band for regular releases... and you'll see the current production band for special release, such as an Regional Edition or Limited Edition.

Nice work comparing the two cigars.  Based on the pics of the reg and RE/LE bands on the CC website, it would appear that they took the regular release band from another cigar and put it on the LE.  Pretty sickening that TL would do this.

More likely the bands are counterfeit, and so are the cigars.

Or, the bands could be real, and have been taken from the factory and/or printer.

The counterfeiters just didn't realize that the bands are different on this ERDM cigar.

Small update...

I've been sent a number of other cigars that people have obtained from TL.  One thing I can say is that the bands on some of them are flawless.

So good, in fact, that the bands are likely genuine, or such good reproductions that it just doesn't matter.

I have not smoked the cigars yet, but despite the bands being excellent, it's interesting to note that all of the cigars... even very different marca blends... have the identical "barnyard" smell to them.

The "Montecristo GRs" are also the darkest Montecristos I've ever seen... ditto with the "Cohiba 1966s", they are even darker than most of the Cohiba Maduro 5's I've seen...

The ERdM band on the left, the fake cigar, looks like a legitimate ERdM band to me. Everything looks correct. Except that the band in question is the legit ERdM band for regular releases, where special releases have a different band (the one on the right).

Really interesting, in depth analysis Moki. I hope you do the same for the others you examine, as this doesn't affect me personally, having not had any interaction with TL, this is still very interesting, and good to know...
