What I'd Love to see

I wish there was in place an automatic locking mechanism in the TSBC forum whereby as soon as a thread was posted it was locked and could ONLY be accessed by the thread poster.  This would prevent ANY comments whatsoever about the post.  It would prevent the banana idiots from shilling for guys.  It would prevent the "bump" from occurring.  It would prevent the "great deal  :nana: :nana: :nana:" from merely taking up space.  It would eliminate the "please post pictures" posts.  All of this can be done through private messages.  You really think that posting "pm sent" does anything more than to tell the rest of the board that you've sent a PM to the poster?  The poster gets the PM, there is no need to tell anyone else you've PM'd him.  All of a sudden the post gets put at the top of the page-why???

I really get sick of the same guy posting dancing F*cking bananas on every post of his friends as if his opinion really mattered.  End the bull sh*t.  End the issues of commenting on price.  Leave it all up to private messages.  It would make everything much easier.

When you start a new topic, if you click on "additional options" on the bottom left side under the conversation box, there's an option that then pops up that says "lock this topic" or something to that effect.  I'm not familiar enough with the BB functionality to know if this is what you are looking for but seems like that's what it is.  (It doesn't pop up for replies, I've noticed.)  

Edit:  Not [u]automatic[/u] though which is perhaps your preference.
