Re: Who would have thought?
Family Guy,
Ever heard of a Free Market?
A vendor/person can charge what they want for whatever they want.
Don't like the price, keep moving along. The next person may want it at that price.
The free market is like Self-leveling concrete. If you keep your damn hands off it while it's working it all evens out.
Start messing with it and you'll get FU&K$D up results.
Just b/c something is still produced doesn't mean an aged/rare product shouldn't be worth more.
Ever wonder why a very old Silver dollar is worth more than $1?
1) They aren't made the same way now (Equivalent to a blend/tobacco change in mid-90's for Partagas)
2) Rarity.
I understand and fully support your post in the BZ. That's what this area is for. But don't expect people to agree with you when you question the price of a legitimate product without Palm trees. Again, Price is simply an offer by the vendor. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT!
And in conclusion. :horse:

No TG, my name is Mike. I sold a box of Cuaba Divinos for $135.00 which included priority shiping of $10.00. The box cost me $125.00 when I bought them for a friend who decided he didn't want them. So obviously you've proven your ignorance once again. Wrong name, wrong info.
Oh yeah, I just came across that vendor who has "plenty of boxes" of '92 Lusitanias. Found them for $550/cab also-Boy do they look good. You want the link? Try again "sport" because you are dead to me.

I just wish this board worked right and quoting someone wouldn't post your response within their quote without adding an extra '[/quote]'. So hard to follow the OP being ignorant when I have to go back and forth.

Re: Who would have thought?
Lots of cc blends were compromised in the 90`s.
Ex. Punch Punch used to be super good, along with
the Foseca Invicto, they just dont make em like they used ta.
Excuse the cliche, but it works so well here.
Now i understand some cc`s have gone back to the old blends,
or moved closer to them, do to quality complaints and a general
trend in the industry for more flavor. Ive smoked some xcellent smokes from the last decade
that rivaled the 90`s blends, but some are just not as strong as they were and
never will be.

That and the mid 90's blue mold epidemic that resulted in Cuba switching to a new tobacco. I mean that would have no effect on what cigars pre and post 95 taste like right? Nor how much they go for in the market.

Family Guy, I appreciate you obstinacy in continuing this fight in face of logic, in the face of reason, in the face of all these so called "experts" who have smoked and currently own these shitty cigars. Thank you for being the crusader for truth, for the common man, the every man, being duped by these bastards selling these over-priced shit sticks. You Family Guy are a real asset to OH, keep fighting the good fight and don't let these n00bs wiggle out from the corner you have pinned them into. Go for the kill.
