And I will come out and Say it now, well as some of us have wanted to for a while. Hey guys most of us know the sources for CCs and we know who we can and cant pick box codes from. We see the same lists. I personally think its shitty as hell that your taking that stuff turning around and selling it for 40 to 100 more a box cause its has a good date code on it. We do know you haven't sat on that box. So quit being douche bags and taking advantage of guys getting into CCs. You all know who you are and we know your doing it. So why not quit and an actually be a BOTL. I know wade has said and I respect what he has asked about pricing in the main zone. But I will post here. If you have aged stuff and and that's what the market calls for hey i'm all for it. But 425 to 450 for BHKs52s quit being douches.
Why pay $100 on a therapy session when you can spend $25 on a cigar? Whatever it is will come back; so what, smoke another one.

Once again I'll make my position clear on this. I think it's pretty straight forward and uncomplicated.
My rules prohibit you from making negative comments in the TSBC, but if you want to come here and call people out for what they are charging, or most anything else for that matter, then I don't care. I knew when I set the site up I needed a place for people to vent, and that prices were one of the things that get people's blood pressure up.

I actually knew what you were saying, I just wanted to make it clear what my thoughts were so nobody might misconstrue them. That's not to imply that my opinion is the only one that matters because in the case of posting in the BZ we're talking about opinions and not rules and there is lots of room for differing opinions.
As I said in a previous post, because this is the internet I try to be unambiguous, which will often seem blunt. Please don't infer that there is any emotion attached to that.

My only take away point is really to recognize that the board rules preclude much, if any, action being taken as a result of what shows up in the BZ. For example, CB got suspended for her comments in this thread, which clearly shows to me that there is still a lack of appreciation for the flip side of the 'free market' coin here. Obv. I am necessarily 'around' on many/most boards but I try to go with the flow when it comes to the idiosyncrasies each has.

Yea, I suppose I'm in the same boat. I can't help but call 'Bullshit" when I see a gouger set up shop in the hopes that it will warn the good guys to stay away. I have no problem with the rules here, and taking it to the BZ is just fine. It does help keep the flow of things nice and smooth in the TSBR. On a side note, I was away for three days and missed that CB was suspended. What may I ask did I miss?

Insight, when she posted this thread was in the TSBC. I moved it because it looked like there was actually a reasonably civil discourse that might continue outside of that forum. Yes, the TSBC is a protected market of sorts, but only in the way that you're not allowed to create a scene in the mall but you are free to protest outside.

Yeah I didn't mean to indicate she was suspended for comment when it was in BZ, sorry if that was ambiguous. What I meant was she was suspended for breaking the rule, despite knowing that is exactly what would happen when she posted.

The comment she made would probably have been completely out of context in the shoutbox. The point here is that I try to provide a forum for people to list things for sale and chat about cigars and what ever else they want. I've made it pretty clear that I don't think that there is really any such thing as "gouging" on cigars. This is a luxury product that you don't actually need, if someone is willing to pay a higher price because they want it really badly then it's their choice, there is nobody forcing it to happen. Again there is no need for the transaction to happen. That said, this site provides the Battle Zone as a nearly unmoderated free for all to express what every they desire, but it also is a place that people can avoid what often amounts to the internet version of a monkey shit fight at the zoo. I try to be fair and make the rules here simple and clear, but when and if I have to take the time to police someone's actions on the site I'll do it aggressively and consistently so there is no ambiguity.
In the mean time I guess I need to make a no bitching in the shout box rule. Over the yrs on CF I observed that as a teen Drew often exhibited more maturity than the middle aged guys posting on CF, so it doesn't surprise me.
