noob hint of the day: patience

Smelvis' thing with the cohibas from pajama94 and the spinning quarters thread got me thinking. I've had a couple dealings where the seller sent a PM saying 'you got it' then 15 minutes later sent another saying 'you didn't pay fast enough'.  I've also seen sale threads say 'first to send PP gets it.' Always wondered about the second, third, and fourth person to PP.

New folks, calm the eff down. It may be hard but slow down for just a sec. 99% of the people here are good peeps from other boards. We may not have fancy phones that set off a siren everytime we get a message on here. Still we're not out to screw anyone. Just simma down.

Nicely put jb! I am exclusive to O.H. I am new to cigars and online forums. I do not have paypal nor do I want it. I've made purchases with a handfull of guys here and all have gone good. So like jb said "just simma down". This is supposed to be about relaxing and enjoying the finer things in life. BTW Wade's coffee is one of the finer things you can enjoy!

I've never seen "first to pp me".  I think that would definitely screw things up a bit.  I have seen "first to pm gets it" which is perfectly fine with me.  I think the first time you deal with someone, you would like the transaction to go as fast AND smooth as possible.  After that first deal with them, you kind of know what to expect.  Fortunately for me, I've dealt with a few guys that respond within reasonable time to pms and emails.  To me, it makes a difference because I don't know many on this site yet.

Trying to stay out of this room, first not remotely new just don't know people here yet! But since I'm the example given I saw the guy lowering the price on the box I backed out of and felt guilty so I pm'ed him and asked if I could still buy them. He said yes and I paid him the original 300. just the right thing for me to do. Plus I always did want the cigars.

As far as patience goes the old timers could have a little more of it with us so called newbies. :)

All of the cute little insults could be stopped if you really want to make headway. Some of us have more experience than you think. some of us also have collections that we started like for me 15+ years ago and it has grown quite huge.
