Re: help a newbee
Looks like you have some poorly counterfitted 2000 RyJ & Partagas LE's, (First three pics).
Pic 4
-Saint Louie Ray Churchills on the left with some odd, dark, lumpy looking turd thrown on top.
-Romeo & Juliet Churchills in the middle that also look suspect. They are highly counterfitted and those wrappers don't look quite right.
-And punch Churchills on the right also with an odd, dark, lumpy looking turd thrown on top.
Pic 5
-Hoyo de Monterrey Churchill sitting atop what appears to be several other HdM Churchills. No way to know what is stacked to the left of them.
Hope this helps!

Is there any way to know for sure about what? What each stick is? If they are real? Their age? Can you be a bit more specific as to what you're looking to ascertain?

Re: help a newbee
Most of these look to be fakes purchased in Mexico or elsewhere in the carribean. I've seen hundreds of cigars like these over the years in shops all over tourist areas.
Life sucks! Get a Helmet!

First clue... all these bogus secondary bands. Come on? Even I would not fall for that... and I would so wish they were real. :-[
Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.

Re: help a newbee
Completely understandable and excellent that you're trying to learn. I don't know how you came into these sticks or what you paid, but there are certainly many fakes in the lot, and they may possibly ALL be fakes. I would reccommed NOT smoking any of them. Fake cigars have been known to have all kinds of things in them that one should not smoke inclkuding leaves other then tobacco, wood shavings, hair, and all kinds of other crud.
If you wanted to you could take an an exacto knife and disect some of these and photograph what you find. Would prove interesting and also helpful to the cigar community in general. As you investigate the online cigar community further you will find that there are several web sites that keep files of such photos for reference purposes.

Re: help a newbee
Thanks again I'll post some more picks of the rest of the collection. I may need to send one out to one of the more knowlegable posters to have them take a look at the fakes. Any takers?
