Re: Humidity Problem
Short of buying a temp controlled humidor, the only solution is to aircondition the room in which you keep your smokes. At least that's the only solution I've ever been anle to come up with. Good luck!

Re: Humidity Problem
Yeah it is out of direct sunlight and the temp is still getting to 76 at the highest.
It is also in a room with a fan. and this fan spins really fast.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
-Elliott

Re: Humidity Problem
There's no way a fan can spin fast enough to convect cooler air through the walls of the humidor. You NEED to cool the air in the room, (airconditioning). Any decently constructed humidor will track the temp of the room in which it is placed. Aircondition the room for a week at 70 degrees and see how that works!

Re: Humidity Problem
I recommend looking online or at radio shack for a digital thermometer/hygrometer. I have one made by Oregon Scientific thats awesome

Re: Humidity Problem
Short of A/Cing the room in which your humidor is, there is not an easy or inexpensive solution. I purchased a relatively expensive cooled humidor only to fill it up and expand into coolers...hence, I keep my bedroom A/C on set to low during the warmer days/months. These days there are some fairly efficient window units--it all really comes down to the value you have in your smokes monetarily and otherwise--if it is worth it to mitigate the high temps that may cause beetles and etc.

Re: Humidity Problem
How woulda coolerdor help him keep his smokes cool? It would still track the temp of the room it is placed in.
