This is quite puzzling.  Pay day loans??

If that's the case, shouldn't everyone refunded be getting some sort of interest, such as a free five pack or a smooth 25% paid atop the refund amount?

Chris seems like a great guy. But I'm pretty certain he proxy sells tons of stuff and nickels and dimes. I've heard this same story a million times and he always blames it on his personal life.

It seems he is here to just profit off everyone. I think he should get a time out.

So interesting to read this.  Hadn't thought about it in ages but twice I tried to buy something and both times it didn't go through.  I paid, Chris said he would ship, something happened and I was refunded.  I guess since I was made whole, it never occurred to me to delve deeper as I moved on.  But man, I hadn't realized how patterned the behavior was.  The last one I bought, was slated to ship and when I asked if it was ever going to go out he told me his dogs knocked it off the table and all the bottles broke.  In retrospect, that is pretty unlikely.

Wow! This is the same thing that happened to me when I wanted to buy some Blanton's from him!

Good move suspending him. Hearing that it has happened so many times makes you wonder if he is truly doing it for loans...

Wow, he did the same thing to me on some Col EHT bourbon last year.  i paid him and he didn’t ship as he said he would, when i wrote back to find out what the deal was he said the bottles broke on him as he was packaging them and sent me a refund.  I didn’t think anything of it but now that i’m reading looks like i also lent him some money interest free lol.

Too funny, but not really. Here is his response to me for a bottle of JD12 after sitting on my payment for almost a month:

"Hey Bob,

A bit of bad news.  When I was trying to pack the bottle, one of my dogs knocked my legs from under me and the bottle broke.  I am out juice and money.  I apologize to you Bob.  Refund sent of course.  I will let you know when I get more.

Chris "

Story line sounds familiar. Done more than once to me. He is on cigar and bourbon groups on FB overselling there too. I have actually watched him sell on here and then go buy the same sticks on FB to cover the sale within hours of close. Not cool. Yes I have gotten some great deals from him but all it takes is one dishonest transaction to ruin the trust. This is supposed to be a safe and trusting brotherhood. He has broken that trust with all of us on this thread. I have 10 plus years of buying on OLH and am I grateful to be a member, he is the only one who has ever been dishonest with me after hundreds transactions and many thousands spent.

I’m sad to see all of this, especially after defending him.

Unfortunately, I got the same story too. 2 bottles of Russell’s 13 year broke as well. Refunded 2 weeks after payment.

Didn’t realize this was a theme with him given I had gotten some great deals in the past. Believed they were broken. I want to give him the benefit of doubt but impossible when the same thing happened to so many.

Obviously buddy is in a bad spot if he needed to pull shady shit for these loans.

The deception hurts as I genuinely liked the guy.

I love the commercial of the Native American guy representing the loan company.  At a 42% interest rate, that's some reparations, bitches lololol!

Yeah, this ain't good.  Someone is gonna get fucked someday.  This is some neXt level shit.
