I have dealt with Chris several times over the past 10 years or so. Some of those transactions went fine while others didn’t work out so well. I agree with statements that he doesn’t seem like a thief or a bad guy, but he does need to get his priorities straight or stop doing business here until he does. Several months ago I paid for a box of cigars which I never received. He did refund my money after stating that he was out of town handling a family emergency. I hope he is able to address his family situations and has a good outcome.

In July of 2023 I had a very similar interaction with him. Was buying (or trying to) a box of HU2s. At first the communication was spot on, pictures sent etc. When I asked him for the total he just quit responding, after he did respond with a total I asked for his details on where to send $$. Again, crickets. Then after a week or so he pipes back with the 'sticks are too damaged' and he 'couldn't in good faith' send me sticks in that condition. What's funny is he must have forgotten he sent me the photos cause outside of minor cosmetic stuff on a couple of the sticks they looked great. I told him I was fine with a couple cracked feet and would still like to move forward with the purchase; got me nowhere.
Around the same time he pulled some similar shit with a weller full proof sale. Never took any funds from me on either occassion, just played dumb about 'family emergencies' and not being able to respond. (even though he would log into the site daily).
I've talked with some friends who had done business with him and they just laughed and said 'Yeah JL is a solid enough guy. Just good luck ever tracking him down to get your shit and be prepared to wait 4 months'. All in all, he just sucks to do business with. Anyone on the fence should stay away.

Joe, and others, sorry to hear this. Joe, on one hand I wish you would have pinged me right away, as I have a deep history with both of you. On the other, I'm very glad it was also brought here as others are having the same experiences.....again.

Chris and I have already had discussions on this issue, and how he gets himself into these spots. I want to reiterate, that is NOT THE STANDARD in which OLH sales are done and should never be accepted. These are real people with earned money and it should not be fucked around with.

Proxy selling??? Again??? WTF Chris??? You're not a damn brick and mortar and need to stop acting like you are.

This is NOT about shit going wrong in your life and your actions here are the results. You are simply making BAD choices HERE with other peoples money. In the end, it's fucking stealing.

So interesting to read this.  Hadn't thought about it in ages but twice I tried to buy something and both times it didn't go through.  I paid, Chris said he would ship, something happened and I was refunded.  I guess since I was made whole, it never occurred to me to delve deeper as I moved on.  But man, I hadn't realized how patterned the behavior was.  The last one I bought, was slated to ship and when I asked if it was ever going to go out he told me his dogs knocked it off the table and all the bottles broke.  In retrospect, that is pretty unlikely.
