I’ve heard the same thing about Global Entry from guys on Reddit. Seems fairly common to lose GE. But like the above post, no one has seemed to have an issue with losing regular ‘ol precheck.

Just had a customs seizure in NY, first time ever.  I’ve been fairly lucky, so I chalk it up to the law of averages.  But I’m cooling orders for a bit.

Are you guys ordering single or multiple boxes?  My first and only letter was 1997 or 98 (who remembers the aluminum cake pan shipping method), but I never order more than a box at a time and haven't other then clubs since prices went through the roof.

lundens, I have ordered multiples and single boxes.  Most places I've purchased however, will only ship one box at a time, or two boxes of 10cts.  That said the last two seizures I have were single boxes, one was a 5ct of Partagas E2, and the last one was a box of SCdH Fortalezas, both from Puro Express, both snagged in NY.

Of Note, PE is no longer shipping to the US, if you look at their CC product line they all say "Unavailable to USA" so looks like they felt the hit, don't blame them.

Cheers

I ordered a couple of boxes a few weeks ago and then read this thread. Never had an issue in the past but my last order was a year ago. Both boxes got through just fine from COH through NY.

I haven't ordered anything internationally since pre covid. How bad are things now as compared to before? I have ordered probably close to 50 boxes in my life and never had a single seizure. It sounds like the confiscations have increased quite dramatically. It also seems like Miami is the worst. Foh will not even ship to anyone in the southeastern USA, but apparently the other ports of entry are just fine. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what is going on and specifically through Miami? Why would one port be so much worse than the others?
