Monte 4 2016 box...892.00 ???

Post by Garbandz »

currently, this box of 2016 Monte 4 is valued at 892.00 by a certain vendor.

as absurd as this is, it makes me wonder what the value of my 2014 boxes of Monte 4 could bring.

2014 is judged to be a much better year, and in my experience, it has proven to be.

any ideas ?

I can’t imagine that any box of petite Coronas is going to fetch more than $400-$500 no matter the age. Ihavana is never going to fetch that. Even COH, who is usually more expensive than ihav has a 2015 box for $750 and that is way too high. Secondary prices are starting to fall. The cigar bubble is starting to burst.

The secondary market is crazy as hell. There are guys out there that are buying but they are few and far in-between. I am a smoker not really a seller. But I have been temped I have a intact and still sealed box of Bolivar Britanicas Edition Regional Gran Bretana 2011 box of 10. I saw one sold on BR for $1805 + fees  :o That is some crazy shit!

I know we can not post on for sales threads butI would love to have the ability to post this  :rotf: on some of these FS posts!

As far as you question I think you could get probably get $700  to $800 from someone and it may take some time. But I would say like was said $400 to $500 would be fair. If I was going to pay $700 to $800 I would be looking at 70's and 80's at that price.

PLPC is for a 50 count cab. Not a 25 count box.

It's not a matter of the QUANTITY IN THE BOX, it's matter of PRICE TREND!!!
Take in consideration what amount of money people in China, HK, Middle East countries are willing to pay. That's a show off and prestige to them. And there are always wealthy people and collectors in other countries.

I hear what you’re saying but this is apples and oranges. We are talking about the price of petite Coronas. You’re selling a 50 cab of PC for $725 or ihav has a 25 count Monte 4 that’s one year older for $850.

Also, prices on BR have been trending down and all the grey market sites are over stocked. Market peaked Q3 last year.

It is interesting all the fresh and regional stuff sells for crazy prices ??? It used to be the vintage stuff was king, and when I say vintage I mean 70's & 80's stuff! I like these guys that try to get a ton extra for a box 5 to 10 years old.

ummmm.... no. Not from my perspective anyway. I keep a pretty close eye on things. Maybe it's stabilized a bit but it doesn't appear to be falling.

Just look at the ihavana July specials. Esmerelda for $505, Cuaba regionals for $330,  hoyo EE for $605. Most boxes on BR are trading for 80% of the price in Q3 of 2023. Most grey market sites are flooded with inventory.

Times are a changing.
