Anyone have luck with usps insurance for damaged feet?
Sent a cab and it was packed quite well. I pack cabs very tight to the point of pushing bubble wrap down in order to close the lid. Literally 2/3 of the feet were damaged in shipment. Has anyone filed a claim for damaged cigars rather than if they go missing? ?

They will most likely blame you for packaging them incorrectly. I have no experience but most shippers blame damage on the packaging.

If that's the case then why pay for insurance?

Just in case they get lost which sometimes causes it’s own problems, they typically want a receipt before they pay, and if it’s unobtanium well good luck getting a fair settlement.

I don't believe technically you can ship cigars/tobacco through the USPS without a license so making an insurance claim won't go very far.

Haven’t heard that but I would not put anything past them to not pay.
