Do you all just use tap water or do you take it a step further by using the likes of Fiji, Evian or Icelandic bottled water?

The instructions say to freeze for a certain amount of time (6-8 hours I think) and say "Do not freeze for 24 hours" which I did once cause I forgot about them and although they appeared and worked just fine they were a total bitch to get out of the mold.   I won't over freeze again....it sucked.

That makes sense.  I have noticed that it was harder to get the mold out sometimes.  I'll try it less time next time I do it.
For true clear ice you have to freeze big chunks (like a small cooler) then cut off the part that accumulates all the gasses.
Not at all. The device I posted produces absolutely clear ice.

Sounds like a step up from toilet water which is good. ;D Filtered water is definitely the way to go.
