Hey Fam,
I'm considering buying a box of the Sancho Panza Belicosos - for those who have had this many times whats your take on it?
Also, ive had a couple trinidads but not the entire line-up, but was curious what your favorite vitola they offer is too? I've had 3 and the Colonial is my top pick. Still want to try the Topes, Media and Vigia.

I like the SP line, especially the Non Plus and Belicoso. All the SP line seems to be milder to me and IMO needs 5+ years of age for the best flavor to develop.

WHat kind of flavor profile do you typically get?

I get an herbal and slightly earthy flavor profile, like a cross between an Upmann and a El Rey del Mundo, but milder. As Min Ron Nee has opined, the cogeners in the tobacco need composting time for the flavor components to be broken down so they can be perceived on the palate.

Min Ron Nee..he's so scientific bout it all..I love it.. and I love broken down cogeners...they're the best!
IMHO, depending on the strength at rolling time, most cigars are best between 5 and 15 years old. If you start with a really heavy bodied cigar then at 20 YO they can still be sublime.

Vigia is my favorite of the newer Trinidad. Didn’t care for the Media Luna at all and the Topes is too thick for my taste (though I loved the EL version). I mostly smoke Reyes, though.

Agreed...I prefer Monte 2 at around 12 years old, but the Punch SS2 (for my palate) are perfect with 20 years.

SP belicosos are the tits. I’ve had aged and new ROTT. Great smoke that’s cheaper than others.
