What if you died today?

Messed up subject I know! But it could happen very easily! This is not a thread about where you'll be after you die, which is certainly more important, this is about cigars!

Has anyone got a plan for their cigars in the event that you unexpectedly die? Obviously you can't take them with you!

My wife and kids know that I have a somewhat valuable cigar collection. Not very valuable compared to others, but you know what I mean. My wife has no idea what I buy or what it's worth (or I'd be dead already). My 7 year old son is very interested in them. Loves smelling them and looking at them. Kind of funny haha. They do know that they have value though.

Has anyone ever thought of trying to educate your family about the value of your stash/accessories? The last thing I want, is if this were to happen to me, is for my brother in law or some other douchebag(s) to wind up with a nicely aged box of cigars that they'll waste, roll blunts out of, etc.

Any thoughts on this? I've thought about keeping a list and leaving it in the humidor and updating ballpark prices with some links and passwords for accounts I have so they can get online and price gouge!

What say you? This could be a very fun thread.

I have left instructions with a few different friends that are also into this crazy obsession :rotf: They will take inventory and value at that times market value and sell or auction. I have told the wife that EVERYTHING has value cutters, lighter, humidors all the collectables I have collected.
Expect for the one Antique Partagas Cigar Jar Humidor from the 1920s where she will put my ashes  :angl:

Have a couple of trusted and knowledgeable buddies in the hobby that would take care of the liquidation and my wife has their contact info.

I've always wanted one of those fancy sevilla cigar jars! Is that what yours is? If so nice!

:rotf: Yep it looks just like the sevilla jars! But it's a 80 + year old "Flor de Tobacos Partagas Habana" humidor from Pickman S.A. Sevilla in Spain.
