Stickers on Celo

I just recently got back into cigars after a more than 10 year hiatus. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me, particularly on fuente cigars, when they started putting barcodes on the celo of individual cigars?

Oops you said when. Been going on for several years. Probably about 10?

I was wondering because there is a partial box of Ashton esg 24 yr salute at a local b&m with no individual labels. Maybe that means they’re close to 10ths old?

You may have found the way to age some of these NC cigars. At least partially.

We have boxes of Ashton Cabinets from 18 with barcodes and without barcodes and the ESG was the last to get them.

Oh well. Sounds like they are at least a few years old maybe. I just bought 1 and the cello seemed yellowish. We’ll see how it smokes in the next day or two.

I just grabbed a NC and the box was bought in 2010 and has the sticker on the cello.
