I personally thought the pricing was laughable about 4 years ago, but it makes more sense than ever now. Especially since COH just listed boxes this morning for $800 ea. $625 is a steal, its really the price from 3 or so years ago. Whoever bought got themselves a hell of a deal based no current pricing.

I was never thrilled about that cigar back when it was readily available and I really like Bolivar cigars. I know people who loved them and hopefully they're smoking great like the op said. I've seen them recently go for more than that though!

You could make the argument that the overwhelming majority of Gold Medal boxes aren't really Bolivar. Theres easily 5x more provincially rolled boxes then there are Partagas rolled boxes. BRC, BPC, BCJ, and Libertador are generally rolled at Partagas with a few small exceptions here and there. Thats why Bolivar is generally so consistent and pretty solid overall.

It was the fall of 2009.  TEB, partagas rolled, 2007s.  Group buy between 4 friend. 30+ boxes.  IHAV.......$66.94 a box.

I traded my last 3 boxes for OGA and POL BCGs.
