For a full month my nightly visits to the cigar lounge have been curtailed, which means that my consumption of NC's has slowed and I've been going through the coolerdors to dig out some odds & ends. The first one I grabbed was a 2008 La Fuerza. It was a wonderful smoke, retaining its leathery flavor, yet seeming more powerful and refined than it was years ago. Definitely got better with age.
Anyone else clearing out old remnants during COVID? If so, please share what you're smokin'.

Smoked the last of my 2002 H. Upmann Super Coronas. These were beautiful smokes, came wrapped in cedar, my 2nd favorite discontinued Corona Gorda, after the Punch Super Selection No. 2. Very cedary, with a firm draw. Too bad these are no longer made.

Never heard too many good things about the Partagas Serie D No. 3 EL2006. Decided to pull one out for a Sunday afternoon smoke. Purchased at a Tabac in the Quartretemps Mall in La DeFence in 2006. Beautiful dark wrapper, darker than a Cohiba Maduro. Very light draw, tons of smoke. The cigar was much better than expected, with a very nice leather and cedar flavor. Overall, a very good smoke, if you have held these for this long you may want to light one up, and these are smoking fantastic now.

Pulled a 2003 Sir Winston from the igloodor. The 65% beads have done a great job, the cigar felt like a little soft, but other the old HU band, it could almost have passed for current. The years have taken a little of the power from this cigar. It was very mild on lighting, and only in the last 1/3 was there any strength. Overall, a great aged cigar.

Saw a comment in the shouts about SP, reminded me that I had just smoked the last SP Belicoso from a 2005 box. It's a pretty mild smoke, with light cedar and yes, salinity. This was the only box of SP I ever bought, wasn't in my wheelhouse.
