Nubbing: Aged vs. Young

Post by opusXmarco »

Smoked an Opus X #5 today and the cigar started to burn the lips sooner than usual. Normally I love smoking the Opus Xs to a nub, but this one was gifted and I know it didn't have much age.

Do you experience the same with your young or aged cigars?

Discuss.

I have always found that aged, or mellowed cigars burn thelips less.

For me it depends on the cigar.  Also on how fast I smoke it.

Rarely do I nub a fresh cigar. Maybe it's me but I find they get bitter towards the end.

I normally nub the better cigars I smoke. I think you are right about aged cigars being easier to nub than freshies.
