Hello, had a quick question.
Had a new cabinet humidor built and the avallo system was installed in it. It's the 4 cannister type with 4 circulation fans.
The guy who built it, installed the fans all in line at the very top of the humidor and the 4 cannisters at the bottom of the humidor.
My question is, should these fans be placed a little differently and maybe should these cannisters not all be on the bottom?
I do not have the unit yet, but he wants to deliver it soon, but I would like some other opinions if possible.
Thanks!

Re: Circulation fan placement/avallo cannisters
I'm sure there are a bunch I haven't seen but the ones I have seen usually have fans on the different levels.

Same here which is why I am a little concerned. I don't know anything about the system or fan placement to be honest.
The guy emailed me back just a few minutes ago and this is his response:
The canisters are easily moved. They are on extended wires so you can pull them out to fill them. The placement of the canisters and the fans is pretty well engineered to have the canisters push humid air up the back of the humidor and the fans to return the drier air back down the front. We've done a LOT of humidors this way with great results. So far no one has had any issues with our installation of Avallo systems.
I just have some good reasons not to believe this guy about anything and I figured I'd get better advice here.

Sometimes the canisters have fans on them as well. Is this the case with yours? If you go to the Avallo website, you can see the white canisters in some cabinets. The white canisters have a screw on black cap that has a fan in the cap. You unscrew it to fill them.

Ah OK. Yes it appears that they should have little fans on the canisters. I understand now.
Think I'm a bit more at ease. He just said what he was putting into it and that was that. The design and explanation makes sense to me now.
Thanks for the help.

The fans at the top appear that they would be blowing directly on the cigar boxes. My understanding is that it’s best to have the air circulate throughout by going directly along a wall(or up the back) as appears to blowing directly on the cigars.
YMMV.
