Behike hike?

Post by gibson_es »

I have a box of 52's that I bought a few years back, I don't dip it in much, but the other day I grabbed two out for myself in my cousin. Realizing that I only had 3 left after that, I decided to take a gander online and if he discussed splitting a box with me. My jaw hit the floor when I seen they literally are 3 times what I paid for them march of 2015. Looking at a couple other things that I can remember the price on, the price increases have been marginal and expected. Any idea what's causing these to be so dramatic? I have to admit to being quite out of the loop these days.

They disappeared completely for awhile in 2016 only to reappear at those bullshit prices. Ravi had the same box codes available when they reappeared as when they disappeared. Total BS ever since then.

Wrapper shortage rumors made them skyrocket late last year, earlier this year... prices have settled a bit since, but they are still overpriced IMHO.  2010s (CAs #1 cigar of the year), were/are pretty special, 11's are good/above average, 2012 on, are MEH, especially at current pricing.  If they were 20-25 a stick, their current price point may be more in line.

Can you be more specific what you mean by "these"?
Be sure and make deposits in all areas of your life, because at some point you will need to make a withdraw. No deposits are more important than those made in relationships.

What is interesting about the Behike, and totally agree, is the the 2016 or 2017 seems to be worth maybe up to a grand a box in Hong Kong as the the ‘12 or ‘13 can be.

First of all, having the whole set, including box, inserts and cigars will do it best.

Come up with a 2010 or 2011 and it is your lucky day.

What we tend to see are sticks with varying colours that are kind of weird. Probably because they are not the original box mates. Seems an issue for the collector. Maybe not so much for the cool dude smoker. Honesty will get us farther, and turn the price to $650 on a 52?

Apologize if this offends anyone about Far East, but hey, great market!

Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.
