2008 Magnum 50. A true representation of the marca and how an aged Upmann should taste like. Probably the best I have smoked this year.

I remember those! One of my first boxes and a truly remarkable cigar - upon buying them again in 2014 (high-quality box from the Czar), I was sorely disappointed to find they were nothing like I remembered them - gone was the mustiness I cherished and instead was a whole lot of stonefruit. They weren't bad, but the blend appeared to have changed. 2008 was such a good year for Cuban cigars.

I am not surprised. I've never bought an old box from a vendor that was good. It is all about aging condition. Warehouses environment are not build for aging cigars.
2011 is favorite second of mine and smoking well. I believe 2014 has great potential.

You guys talked me into a Mag 50, EMA SEP 08. Can't argue with any of your points. Just an absolute flavor bomb, especially through the nose. I found it medium at best and just proves a point that you can have a ton of flavor without having a lot of strength. That's probably my favorite thing about CC's.

Just got back from Spain and Portugal and picked up a mess of cigars. Smoked an HU Corona Minor tonight from 2016. I was also able to get a box of the Portugal Bolivar RE and the Spain LGC RE.
