Have had several of these over the past week (and I'm normally a variety guy who smokes 3-4 times a week), which may clue you into how awesome these are.
Tannic and slightly ammoniated opening
1st
Creaminess (flavor and body)
Ginger, grassiness, coffee bean and a pleasant cake-like note
Very complex and very high quality tobacco
Finish is sweet and lemongrassy, turning to pepper
2nd
Sometimes marshmallow and soft - other times peppery, but not harsh. Just a testament to some excellent ligero.
Profile is complicated - all flavors present in 1st are interplaying and the profile doesn't sit still, puff to puff
3rd
Quick shift in profile
Soft exotic woods
Harmonious mix of honey, cream and green grass
Nicotine kick - significant for a Havana, but not for the Padron, Opus and Liga crowd
Cake-like finish with chocolate and a pleasant sour counterpoint to accentuate the rest of the profile
Overall, very happy to have a bundle. Dreading any future sick period that may develop, but regardless, a grand slam from Johnny!

Re: Johnny O EL robusto
I am really enojoying these EL cigars from John. I usually never smoke the same thing two days in a row, and I have found myself smoking these just day after day.
I find them medium bodied, with a creamy youth, slightly grassy, slightly nutmeg-y, which reminds me a lot of some of my other favorite cigars. I've ordered a few different types a few different times and each time I've gotten what I expect as far as the provenance.
He has always been quick to respond and quick to ship. Super convenient. He's becoming my regular go-to :)
