I was just asking the question.  There was no hidden meaning behind it.  Was merely curious.

But to answer your question: Yes, I would.  And I do all the time.  (Just not for custom rolls.)  Doesn't mean I expect anyone else to do that.

But if it were me, and I'm taking someone's money today, I'd sure make it totally, utterly, completely, blindingly clear that this is up-front payment and delivery will happen later.  It was not obvious from the TSBC post that was the case.

So that's why I asked.  I'm not knocking anyone.

I know the whole deposit thing has been a complaint from a couple of people, so I wasn't sure if that was the reason for your original reply or not.

I'd have to re-read his posts, but I seem to recall the posts saying he's taking orders and would imply delivery is to happen later.  I know some of his buys in the past drug out and I think I had one that drug out for about 3+ months, but I was willing to wait for the cigar I ordered rather than taking up his offer of a more expensive substitute at no additional charge that he could have delivered sooner.

I was talking about the guy who posted today.  I agree Dallas has been pretty clear about his terms.

And I agree, I don't begrudge either guy for doing the dirty work of procuring customs and asking a price that gives at least a little bit of compensation for their efforts.

Fair enough.

I'd have to think it's a pre-order.  You'd have to be crazy to go down there and buy all of that stuff and then try to sell it because you just might sit on it for a while.  (Especially at those prices).

At those prices you wouldn't have to sell that many before you were in the black anyway, could be apart of it.

Don't know the guy from Adam and I'm in no way bashing on him but, I wouldn't "prepay" this guy...with no feedback  Hell even if I knew him personally I'd have my reservations in doing so.  It's hard to guarantee 100% delivery...I'd risk missing out on what could possibly be the best cigars in the world before I risk losing $350 plus.  But that's just me.  Anyone who jumps on this train, please let me know how it turns out and if the cigars are outstanding.

Dallas is super. Delays at times, for sure, but he always caught up and delivered some of the best custom rolled that I have ever smoked.

Agreed. I'll buy again.
