Ouch

Post by forgop »

Let this thread serve as the bitching grounds for the latest custom pricing offering.  God only knows how many bitched over lower prices from someone else.

I agree the prices from someone else weren't bad... But these new ones are a joke

I don't begrudge anyone that takes the time and effort to pick them up and recoup some of their expense for the service provided.  It just was amazing to see how many people bitched about the deposit aspect and acted as though he was making too much off of them.

Dallas is super. Delays at times, for sure, but he always caught up and delivered some of the best custom rolled that I have ever smoked.
Hey! How come "Habana" is written on here with a Sharpie ?!?

Would you float potentially thousands before a trip and take the risk of coming home and then sitting on some inventory because people back out?

We have enough people who will respond with interest for existing sales only to back out or never respond within 24 hours, let alone something they won't get in their hand for a couple of months.  I would be hard pressed to float for friends I know in person, let alone anonymous "brothers" here who will not keep their word because something else came up in the meantime.

I was just asking the question.  There was no hidden meaning behind it.  Was merely curious.

But to answer your question: Yes, I would.  And I do all the time.  (Just not for custom rolls.)  Doesn't mean I expect anyone else to do that.

But if it were me, and I'm taking someone's money today, I'd sure make it totally, utterly, completely, blindingly clear that this is up-front payment and delivery will happen later.  It was not obvious from the TSBC post that was the case.

So that's why I asked.  I'm not knocking anyone.
