For those traveling to Havana: Abel's new restaurant/cigar bar

Post by Ninja »

Abel, the former manager of the Partagas store, has overcome his legal problems last year, and has opened a restaurant/cigar bar with his family in Centro Havana. It is on San Lazaro at the corner of San Nicholas. The sign out front says "Casa Abel". Good restaurant and a gorgeous cigar lounge with a variety of very old (and expensive) cigars. A couple boxes were from 1998 and 1996. All can be bought as singles. They have custom robustos from La China and Jorge there too. A terrace up top also is a great place to hang, and if it is not too busy later in the night, Abel may hang and talk to you a bit. Bar is very reasonably priced for the type of location.

So if you are there, I recommend a stop. He has only had it open for about 4 months.

I was gambling in Havana, and I took a little risk. Send lawyers, guns, and money.... Dad get me out of this!
