Smoking a J-O 1966 right now and it is PHENOMENAL! If I played name-that-blend, I would say HUpmann/Montecristo hybrid with a little RyJ churchill series on the backend.
If these are Nicaraguan or Dominican, I need to know which manufacturer is playing with this caliber of tobacker!
If these are NCs he is going to put some major players in the NC world out of business! I have only smoked 5 . 4 of them out of a five pack and 1 gifted to me by a friend all that I have smoked were AWESOME!

forgop don't know what your personal gain is in this but you seem convinced of something we are not sure of.
If I read correctly the thread is "Ninja got me" others have followed to say the same. You want to make this a personal issue with everyone by attacking them instead of focusing on the problem.
That being that Dallas "business model" as Hutch has politely referred to is pretty whacky to say the least.
Some have referred to it as a nickel and dime Ponzi scheme. What he does here I could care less. But don't lie to everyone and then cover it up with more lies.
I have read that a character was created out of Mons son. That he rolled 10 years at Laguito. Well, papo I know Mons son since he was a kid. He never rolled a cigar in his life. So now you're going to tell me it was a son from a different mother, not that son you're thinking of.
I did a personal favor for someone this weekend. They emailed Jorge/Leo at Club Havana (the day before I arrived) and put in an order for some Monsdales. I went there and picked them up, there was plenty to be had of all sizes. No six month wait, no bullshit story, no creative embellishment. I even saw Robbies (Miami Padron Smoker)locker with his business card on it. So you take that information and turn it upside down and twist it sideways so you can justify the Dallas Stockholm syndrome you are entrenched in. John

I have nothing to gain and I've not thrown around any dancing naners. All I've asked for was something that could be easily understood and not all the cloak and dagger speak. I've never stated every transaction was problem free, but to my knowledge, Dallas did make those whole, whether it be in refunds for non-delivered product or did deliver cigars, albeit quite late in some cases.
I've never dealt with him on the Monsdales, so I can't on behalf of any of those transactions, but IIRC, they were seemingly short supply and high demand here with lots of praise from what I recall seeing in some original offerings.
But I do appreciate something that can actually be addressed instead of innuendo that has gone on up until now.

forgop....here is your answer. Mons Jr does not exist as a roller. He is a fictional character. It has been said that he worked at Laguito for 10 years. I know the dude way back and he never rolled a cigar in his life. In fact he's just a bum and a fuck up in general.
This weekend I went into Club Havana and picked up some Monsdales, all on one days notice. Plenty of cigars to be had, no 6 month waiting period, no bullshit story, no creative embellishment. I can show you the receipts and pics if you would like. I might add I hadn't been in there close to 15 years and knew no one working there. I was in and out in 10 minutes. So if Dallas has a relationship with these people why is it so hard for him to produce the cigars?
So this is what all the innuendo is about? Ok, first let's be clear that when you keep writing that he is a fictional character, you admit that he does in fact exist and you know him. I also have a copy of his carne to back that up too. Now, have you noticed that I have not offered anything from Mons jr. since last summer? There is a reason for that.
As I have said before, I met Mons jr at Club Havana when Jorge said he didn't have an order ready. He told me that he was a roller and had worked at Laquito. I did an initial transaction with him. After I placed another order, but after talking to one my my friends there, he began checking him out. Turns out he was estranged from his dad, has a story that he stole from his dad, and was just a shithead. After my first dealing with him, business dealings became tough, and he started using phrasing like a jinetero, and I have no time for that. I did not trust him, so I cut business ties with him.
Now if you are asking if I ran a credit check or called El Laguito to get a past employment verification, I did not. To this day, he will still tell you he used to roll. We can visit him together and he will tell you. But I honestly don't care cause he turned out to be a shithead and I do not want to do any business with him. But that does not mean he does not exist, nor that he did not sell me the cigars I asked for.
As for Club Havana, your conclusions, well honestly, are illogical. I am glad that you were able to stop by the shop and get what sounds like a bundle of cigars. Jorge told me at the end of Feb that they should be rolling by the first of April. But just cause you stopped by on that day, when Jorge already told your friend that he had cigars, does in no way discount the emails I have from him saying either that they do not have prima materia or they were working backorders at the moment. Or are you trying to say that Jorge's operation and time at home last year are imaginary too. Or the conversation I had during the Habanos festival with him in front of a witness, where he explains that because of wrapper leaf, he did not have an order for monsdales and had to tell many other people visiting from the festival that there were not monsdales for them too. Or the times that they close the store early. But given that you have not been in the shop for 15 years, then I am sure you are aware of all that.
Also have you noticed that I have not offered up Club Havana sticks on my posts for several months? I have some guys ask, and I do what I can but warn them upfront on the potential issues that has been there over the past year.

Buying Monsdales is like buying a pack of gum.
Dude, this may be the most ignorant thing you have wrote.
And since you are citing examples of sticks that I have not actively offered for several months, I can only assume that you are trying to make a correlation between the sticks you have listed here, like Papo and Miguel from Hector's farm. Last time I was there I spent 2 days at Papo's house. You are welcome to come join me there on your next trip. Miguel is building a new house at the moment, but maybe that was all imagination too.
Bottomline is I have always said that if anyone wants to go with me and see whats up, come on. I share with people what is going on and share my experiences. And please on your next trip, go with me to Club Havana and we will talk to Jorge face to face about what experiences I have had there over the last year.

Re: Ninja Got Me
Sure am glad you cleared that up. I would imagine you would have no problem refunding any cigars of questionable quality. Afterall, everyone gave you premium money on good faith that they were getting Monsdales. Not Juniordales or not-so-good-dales. John

Re: Ninja Got Me
John, what the heck are you talking about? Everyone that has gotten anything I got from Mons jr. has been told where it came from (on the initial purchase) or directly told it came from him before they purchased. The first time I got stuff from him, I explained the situation and offered these. Some said great we will try, others ask for a refund, and a couple just waited till regular monsdales where available on my future trips.
John, you have not been part of any of these transactions. Not sure what the point is, but if you are insinuating someone had a problem I do not know about, please have them contact me.
