Floridian Newb

Post by srob7001 »

Hello all! Newb from Florida here. Name is Sean. Was told about this site by a member on another cigar forum. Love me some cigars. Nics, Dominicans, Cubans....they all share a space in my heart. Looking forward to being active on this site and trying many more new and exciting cigars in the future.

Born & raised in Lakeland (Polk County), but have been living in Oviedo for the past couple of years. It's a small-ish city on the outskirts of Orlando. Probably about 45-60 min from Daytona.

Yep, I'm very familiar, I graduated from UCF.  What's that cigar place down by the campus? Harry's or something like that? Cool place, owner always has his dog there with him...

You got it. Harry's, but unfortunately he closed his shop about 1 year ago. Bought my very first cigar from him, was a Flor de Oliva. My how my tastes in cigars have changed since then. There is a really nice shop in Casselberry call Ol' Time Cigars. Fantastic selection and great family that owns the place. I can always find some Opus X cigars at his shop and at a great price. Never feel like I needed the lube when leaving his store.

Oh damn! Crazy that Harry's closed, I didn't hear anything about that. I'll have to check out Ol Time, thanks for the suggestion. I usually make it out to Corona in Heathrow once and awhile but with one kid now and another on the way most of my smoking is done on my back porch.
